I asked her “what’s up?”
and she replied “thee sky”
She made me feel dumb
and still she continued to lie.
I gave her a hug,
and she looked at me confused…
thinking why?
Without blinking and even before thinking,
she began speaking her mind:
“Your time is up, cuhs the clock isn’t working and my battery has died. The minute hand has slowed...
i have no idea how to use this…
so should i lose this???
naw, ill juss stick to this and
maybe something good will come out of this,
someone may hear me out,
someone may even remember me,
cuhs honestly…. ive juss been holding back,
stacking up racks,
waiting for more chedda
juss tryna be bettuh till the day comes…
when i become taller,
bigger,
